Information

We start at the Jam Factory, a leading contemporary Craft and Design venue, where artists work in public view and the city’s craft story comes to life. Here, glassmakers, ceramicists, and furniture makers turn their ideas into tangible art. The Jam Factory is part of an arts hub in Adelaide's West End, so we move straight to a nearby gallery to view their latest works. We then take in public art along the sublime North Terrace cultural boulevard to the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA), world-renowned for its extensive collection of more than 47,000 works of art and design. AGSA has a large Australian collection, including works by Aboriginal and South Australian artists. Traditional artforms, contemporary works and internationally sourced European and Asian collections are also well represented. Indulge in AGSA exhibitions, events and ongoing programs. Pick up a lasting memento at the Gallery Shop. Relax and reflect at your leisure with culinary pleasures at the AGSA eatery where we conclude the tour with a delicious lunch overlooking the University of Adelaide.

  • Premier works from artists that are uniquely South Australian, especially in the galleries of West End Adelaide.
  • Discover the Southern Hemisphere’s most extensive collection of Auguste Rodin sculptures at Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA)- how did that happen?!
  • AGSA holds the world’s largest collection of works outside of the UK by 19th Century English artist and architect, William Morris. Again, how did that happen?!
  • Guides will expand on the art to imbue greater meaning and significance of the art for you.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch at the on us at the Gallery Restaurant to wrap up this stimulating tour.
